❗HORRIBLE 1/10 ❗
This is one of Jude Law’s worst reviewed projects of his career. Not because of him. Because this film is getting dragged that badly
This felt like being trapped in a dead podcast for two hours. it felt like each character were creating their own memoir on the spot, just talking and talking while nothing actually happens. This movie drags you through decades and somehow manages to focus on the most boring s**t ever. .
The casting is a disaster. Almost everyone feels miscast except for Jude Law.. Everyone else feels average at best and completely off at worst. The accents sound fake, the delivery is flat, and nobody feels real. Paul Dano sounds like he is narrating an audiobook instead of performing. Alicia Vikander feels wasted. Tom Sturridge and Will Keen feel like they are playing dress up. Jeffrey Wright barely has anything to work with. It is stiff and honestly just bad.
The narration is brutal. It never stops. It keeps forcing information on you instead of letting anything happen naturally. I felt completely disconnected the entire time, like I was watching a rehearsal or even worse listening to a long political podcast that should have been shut off an hour ago.
This is a dragged out lifeless political podcast pretending to be a film. If I was at home I would have shut it off in 2 minutes.

Amazing. Phenomenal. Visually gorgeous.
A man kills in God’s name, wins God’s war, and learns obedience is rewarded with ruin.

Romantic films have never held power over me, but this one felt hostile in the best way. Like being pulled into a dark current where devotion becomes self-destruction and love corrodes instead of heals. Damnation here has a pulse. Faith offers no miracles because God is not absent. He is present, accepting the blood, claiming the victory, and withholding mercy. Religion becomes a blade, cutting deepest while sanctifying the suffering it creates.

The emotion is cold, masculine, and restrained. Pain that cannot be healed, only endured. Faith gives meaning only to inflict the wound, grounding the character while destroying him. That betrayal is the film’s power.

Visually, it’s absolutely gorgeous. Regal darkness. Deliberate frames. Seductive and sinful without apology. It invites the viewer to lean in, not for comfort, but for corruption.

This Dracula stands in his sin not as rebellion, but as consequence. Romantic, brutal, intoxicating. The film understands that lust and devotion are most dangerous when they are disciplined, beautiful, and unquestioned.

“Death is a privilege God grants you and denies me.”

2026 REVIEW (NO SPOILERS) From the producers of and
in January 23rd 2026 AMC Theatres

I just wanted to say watching this I felt I was playing the most brutal game of Clue with a clock, a co**se, and no second chances.
A man is placed inside a near-future 2029 justice system run entirely by AI. There is no jury and no human judge. He has 90 minutes to prove his innocence before Ai executes him.

You feel the clock immediately.

Mercy wastes nothing, yet it still makes time feel like it’s slipping through your fingers. Every scene feels like it’s stealing minutes from you. You know those Heavy ones. The kind you notice passing.

The closer the film gets to its end, the more obvious it becomes that the system isn’t racing toward a decision. Time is.
The movie packages and Immediately unboxes ANXIETY. You start counting without realizing it. Scenes linger just long enough to make you aware you’re running out of TIME. At times I was scanning every scene looking for clues shadows , reflections ... like I was on trial trying to find a clue the AI missed ....

The emotional high and lows HIT...they surface and are immediately swallowed because there is no time to fall apart.
The AI isn’t cruel. It doesn’t panic. It processes. It waits. Then the AI starts to HALLUCINATE. 😲

You REALIZE the pressure isn’t about guilt or innocence anymore. It’s about the clock ..time doesn’t care what the answer is. When time expires, the outcome is already decided.

This move is should be seen in the largest format possible.
I give it 8.5 /10
