Join Armenian Film Society for an evening with the stars, under the stars, as we celebrate the opening of the 2026 Armenian Film Festival on the rooftop of The Glenmark.

Opening Night is one of our most anticipated gatherings, and the best way to connect with fellow film lovers, filmmakers, industry leaders, and special guests in an intimate setting.

No premiere. No screening. No agenda. We’re just throwing a party high above Glendale to kick off five unforgettable days of film in Glendale.

The evening will feature a DJ, photo booth, tray-passed appetizers, and a cash bar and additional food and ho**ah available for purchase.

The Armenian Film Festival is Glendale’s biggest event of the year, drawing thousands of attendees from around the world and presenting films from major international film festivals such as Cannes, alongside Oscar-winning filmmakers.

All-Access Passes include admission to all events over the course of five days, including our opening night party, US premieres, conversations, and special programs. It’s the best way to experience the entire film festival, support the Armenian Film Festival, and save along the way.

We’re so proud of our friends behind ECHOES OF OUR ANCESTORS: HEROES & SAINTS, a brand-new show coming to the Greek Theatre on Thursday, September 3.

They presented the first iteration last year to a sold-out audience, and this entirely new production brings Armenian history and cultural heritage center stage at the Greek Theatre.

ECHOES OF OUR ANCESTORS: HEROES & SAINTS is directed by Arman Nshanian, produced by Asko Akopyan, and featuring the Armenian State Symphony Orchestra under Chief Conductor Sergey Smbatyan. Thow show will feature performances by Serj Tankian, Arto Tuncboyacıyan, Sebu of Capital Cities, Inga & Anush Arshakyan, Isabel Bayrakdarian, Gevorg Hakobyan, Masha Mnjoyan, R-Mean, Ludvig Ispiryan, Karnig Sarkissian, Suren Arustamyan, Katil Band, DJ Serjo & Vahagn M, Albert Armenakyan, and additional special guests.

Armenian Film Society attended the world premiere of COYOTE VS. ACME on August 26, 2026.

COYOTE VS. ACME became a high-profile casualty of Warner Bros.’ cost-cutting measures, and was never meant to be seen. Ketchup Entertainment, which was founded by Vahan Yepremyan, Artur Galstian, and Gareth West, stepped in and rescued the film.

COYOTE VS. ACME stars Will Forte, John Cena, and Lana Condor, and follows Wile E. Coyote as he hires a lawyer to sue the Acme Corporation after its products fail him one too many times in his relentless pursuit of the Road Runner.

The Armenian Film Festival returns this September 16-20 at The Glenmark, The Americana at Brand, Lumen Coffee, and Karmir Film Lab.

Join us for five days of premieres, unforgettable conversations, special guests, and parties, including our opening night party on a rooftop, with the stars under the stars.

This year’s program features films from Cannes Film Festival, Toronto International Film Festival, and Venice Film Festival. We’ll be hosting the US premieres of ATONEMENT, A WOMAN TODAY, OUTLIVING SHAKESPEARE, and DE GAULLE - PART I: RESISTANCE.

We’re also welcoming an extraordinary lineup of guests, including Reed Van Dyk, Hiam Abbass, Arseni Khachaturan, Karren Karagulian, Inna Sahakyan, Natalie Musteata, and Alexandre Singh.

The 2026 Armenian Film Festival will conclude with the US Premiere of our Closing Film, DE GAULLE – PART I: RESISTANCE, on Sunday, September 20, at the AMC The Americana at Brand.

DE GAULLE – PART I: RESISTANCE had its world premiere at this year’s Cannes Film Festival. The film is directed by Antonin Baudry and explores Charles de Gaulle’s journey during World War II, from military leader to a defining figure in French politics between 1940 and 1945. Simon Abkarian stars as Charles de Gaulle.

Their appointment reflects the continued growth of Armenian Film Society as a leading cultural institution dedicated to supporting filmmakers, celebrating Armenian achievement, and creating opportunities for future generations of storytellers. We’re excited to announce ATONEMENT as the Opening Film of the 2026 Armenian Film Festival, making its US Premiere on Thursday, September 17 at the AMC The Americana at Brand.

Starring Boyd Holbrook, Hiam Abbass, and Oscar winner Kenneth Branagh, ATONEMENT comes to the Armenian Film Festival after its world premiere at the Cannes Film Festival and Gala Presentation at the Toronto International Film Festival.

ATONEMENT is written and directed by Oscar-nominated filmmaker Reed Van Dyk and is inspired by real events during the Iraq War. The film explores the aftermath of a US Marine’s split-second decision during a firefight that devastates an Iraqi-Armenian family, and his attempt years later to reconcile with the woman and her family who survived.

The US Premiere will feature Reed Van Dyk and Hiam Abbass in attendance.
