Danny and the Deep Blue Sea, Directed by faculty, Jeremy Lewis is an explosive, deeply affecting study of alienation and the redemptive power of love. Set in a rundown bar in the Bronx, two of society’s rejects, Danny and Roberta, strike up a halting conversation over their beer. He is a brooding, self-loathing young man who resorts more to violence than reason; she is a divorced, guilt-ridden young woman who is distrustful of men in general. As the night unfolds, and both characters can probe within themselves to find an exorcism and forgiveness, the possibility of a genuine and meaningful relationship begins to emerge—the first for both of them.

In Tennessee, directed by Grace Temblador, a wannabe musician seeks an escape plan and a glimpse at her future approaches a dissatisfied woman who's blessed, and possibly cursed, with the power of foresight. Knowing one's future, however, comes with the responsibility of accepting it or changing it.

Welcome to the Moon directed by Sharukh Kahn, features Stephen, a guy still madly in love with a girl he hasn’t seen in fourteen years, joins his old friend, Ronny, who has been unsuccessfully trying to do away with himself for fourteen years, for a drink in a Bronx bar.

ANNOUNCEMENT There is still room in the Theatre Arts 161: Classical Theatre Workshop in the event you need 2.0 or 3.0 more units to round out your schedule.
We are rehearsing a couple of nights per week on Puppets and Prose: A Shakespearience and performing it at GCC.
What is that? - Well, we will be exploring and crafting a variety of puppets and performing a student-created work with relation to Shakespeare. There are Avenue Q style puppets, group puppetry (larger than life), and shadow puppetry. There is no experience necessary, but creativity is a plus. This might be useful for your major or if you are interested in being a part of something fun and rewarding. We are also looking for behind the scenes in stage management as well - so spread the word if you know of someone who might be interested.
If you are interested, please reach out to the director, Jeanette Farr at [email protected] or come by during an office hour.
Thanks for your time and hope to see you at the theatre!

One more day to audition! Tonight at 6:30pm in the MOD Theatre (SN 104).
