Paluxy River Bluegrass Association

3rd Saturday Bluegrass Jam & Show. Monthly shows at Oakdale Park in Glenrose, TX. Every 3rd Saturday, jamming starts at 2pm and the show starts at 5pm.

We support Bluegrass and Gospel music in effort to keep the tradition alive and give opportunity to local and upcoming bands/artists. Founded February 1, 2012, the Paluxy River Bluegrass Association is a non-profit organization that provides a network of fans, musicians, promoters, venders and other people dedicated to:

Preserving and promoting Bluegrass and Gospel Music. Providing opportunities

for local and upcoming artists/bands to perform. Provide charitable contributions that promote the preservation of Bluegrass and Gospel Music.

We had a blast at the August Jam & Show! Thank you to everybody who came out and showed support. We had a massive crowd. Thank you to Riley Gilbreath for the Guitar workshop, and Pocket Change and Friends and Riley Gilbreath and Lone Star Blue for awesome performances.

Dont forget, we do not have a show in September as we will be at the Oakdale Fall Festival. Tickets are still available, come join us! Rhonda Vincent is headlining!

Riley Gilbreath & Lone Star Blue are a fast-rising, high-energy bluegrass band from Crowley Texas. Formed in 2021, the band is fronted by multi-instrumentalist and singer Riley Gilbreath, who began his musical journey on a loaner banjo at age 12 and went on to win the Texas State Banjo Championship at 15.

Backed by a talented lineup of young musicians, the group delivers up-tempo traditional bluegrass drawing inspiration from icons like J.D. Crowe, Keith Whitley, and Harley Allen. Known for their tight three-part harmonies, instrumental precision, and witty stage banter, they won the 2025 SPBGMA International Band Championship in Nashville, and earned nominations from the Texas Country Music Association.

A little band south of Ft Worth, with a love of music, trying to keep Bluegrass music alive.
Melody Hendrix on Mandolin, she started playing the mandolin in 2017.
Amy Miller on Bass, she plays in the family band, The Triple L Band and has played the bass over 20 years.
Joseph - started playin fiddle at age 4. He now is a music educator for burleson isd. He and his wife live in mansfield.
Laurie- started singing on stage at age 9 and playin guitar at age 10. Most recently she has played with pocket change bluegrass band for the last 3 yrs.

Together, Pocket Change & Friends delivers high-energy performances and heartfelt melodies rooted deeply in Texas bluegrass

Join award-winning multi-instrumentalist Riley Gilbreath for a free interactive acoustic guitar workshop at the Burleson Senior center on Saturday August 15 from 3:30 to 4:15.

Riley’s band will be performing at 7:00 PM so make sure to stay for the show. Pocket Change Bluegrass Band will be opening at 6:00 PM
