New Philharmonic presents Harp of Ages & Pictures at an Exhibition, next weekend on Apr 11 & 12.

Pictures at an Exhibition was inspired by an art exhibition honoring Mussorgsky's late friend Viktor Hartmann, taking listeners on an emotional musical journey through each painting. Featuring guest harpist Nichole Young, Harp of Ages is a seven-piece collection celebrating the harp's rich history through eclectic works inspired by iconic figures associated with the instrument, from Harpo Marx to Star Trek's Nyota Uhura.

New Philharmonic performs Harp of Ages & Pictures at an Exhibition at the McAninch Arts Center at College of DuPage on Apr 11 & 12! Harp of Ages includes seven eclectic pieces each inspired by a memorable figure associated with the harp including comedian Harpo Marx, poet Sister Juana of Mexico, and from the original Star Trek TV series, Nyota Uhura. Featuring guest artist Nichole Young on the harp, this concert explores one of the oldest instruments.
