Join artist Katie Whelan and the Puppet Co. this fall for an exploration of stop motion animation! The course will culminate in a final group project in which each student will contribute their own fabrication and animation sensibilities while working together to tell a story.

Katie Whelan is an artist from Bethesda, Maryland. She graduated from the Rhode Island School of Design in May 2026 with a BFA in Film, Animation, and Video. Katie is passionate about all hands-on methods of filmmaking and is eager to share the art form of stop-motion with others.
