This is what keeps us right on the fringes of happiness. So close, yet so far away... 💔

💫So onwards we spin – into dizzying cycles of tragedy and triumph. Acquiring more things and seeking out new experiences. We speed full steam ahead only to end up back where we were.💫

Turns out, happiness is a bit counterintuitive to our competitive, ego-driven, individualistic Western mindsets. It may be enhanced or hindered by – but never defined by – our jobs, our relationships, addresses, or possessions.🌈

Australia was on fire at the start of 2020. Now California is on fire... yet again.🔥🔥🔥Fires among worst in history. Part of the problem is nature. Climate change is natural... BUT the rate at which it's happening is not natural and us + other earthly dwellers will soon be unable to keep up with these ever-worsening tragedies -- struggling to adapt or evolve with them.🐴 More lives (read also: entire species) and landscapes are at risk of being permanently lost. 🐝🐼🐨

Politics are polarizing by nature. But our survival as a species shouldn't be. Presidential candidates on both (all) sides (and in all nations) should be discussing this as a primary issue. And we should pay attention. We👏should 👏demand 👏action 👏. And do our part in our own communities.

"What can I do to help?" you might be asking...✅start a dialogue with your representatives.✅ Consider installing solar panels. ✅Fuel your body with more plant sources of energy. ✅Invest in industries invested in sustainability. ✅ Train travel vs. plane travel when possible. ✅ Volunteer with (or donate to) a related organization. Endless opportunities for small ways to make a difference.

Start small, but aim high. 🌎
