As we get closer and closer the excitement builds…
This year we will have 3 lasers for the swamp effect, the new fog setup is amazing! I will have to post a video about it.
At last count we have over 15 animatronics including some amazing jump scare types.
I’m not a fan of gore type decorations so there is none of that.

Tomorrow night (10/30) I will be testing the fog setup and deciding where the lasers will go for the best effect. (Last year we had 2, and the fog was not low lying) For those that know fog machines we are using a Chauvet Hurricane 1600 capable of 25,000 cubic feet per minute of fog as the main machine and a Mister Kool II if needed. I also have 2 400 watt machines and an additional 1000 watt. I can literally make this street look like a wildfire has broken out. Which would be crazy. For those that came last year we had to dial it down because you literally could not see driving down the street. Gotta love warm temperatures and wind. Trust me it’s way better this year. The ultrasonic mister ice less fog chiller is a game changer. It’s also something I put together myself after seeing one on YouTube.

I’m going for a haunted cemetery type of vibe where skeletons roam and where you meet interesting characters along the path to the ultimate reward which of course is Halloween candy. As always we have a not so scary side which will be manned by my wife for the little ones which will include the infamous pumpkin projections along with bubbles and a huge pumpkin arch inflatable.

Pretty exciting stuff happening as the big night is looming.
Created a new fog chiller that utilizes an ultrasonic mister. The results are spectacular the fog hugs the ground and lasts, making for an eerie graveyard with laser swamp effects.
Animatronics are assembled and ready for the big day as well as some new upgrades that should make the jump scares more scarier.

The Richmond Times Dispatch article was published last Sunday. It’s amazing how this all started many years ago when I was a teenager too old to trick or treat. I started decorating then, I used to sit in a chair all dressed in a costume and scare would be trick or treaters. That passion has culminated into this. What an honor it is to share the joy of Halloween while raising money to help those children fighting for their lives. The display is up with the exception of spiderwebs and some finishing touches. Halloween is when everything is out and ready including the lasers, lights, animatronics and fog.
