On Tuesday, June 23, 2026, the Henrico County Board of Supervisors passed a resolution expressing deep appreciation to K Alferio for her 18 years of service as President and CEO of the Cultural Arts Center at Glen Allen.

The recognition was part of the Supervisors' special meeting agenda held at the Henrico County Government Center. It celebrates a legacy of community impact spanning almost two decades, during which K successfully grew the Center's outreach, educational, arts, and theatre programming, as well as its community partnerships. To close out the Gumenick Gallery exhibition, Collective Concerns: Collage and Assemblage, Reni Gower (curator of this traveling exhibition) will give an artist talk that examines the role of the artist as a curator.

Known for her curation of thought-provoking traveling exhibitions, Gower will show how she brings exhibitions to life. This public event will be free, include a Q&A, and be geared to all art-enthusiasts and artists alike.

BASIC RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for the day-to-day accounting functions such as accounts payable, deposits, etc. Perform monthly closing process to include generation and analysis of monthly financial reports. Maintaining all human resources/benefit files, 401K deposits, annual audit, payroll, gift shop sales taxes. PCI compliance, annual state and 401K audits.
