Stronger dancers. Higher leaps. Cleaner turns. ✨

Dancer Development Lab is another foundation to our summer programs for all ages, this is where technique transforms.

Through Pilates-based training, strength, and conditioning, dancers build the control, stability and power that take their dancing to the next level, no matter their style.

This is the training behind the training. The why behind the movement.

Give your dancer the tools to feel stronger, more confident, and more in control in every class 💫

✨Our summer programs are deeply rooted in choreography & improvisation✨

At MLC, dancers don’t just learn steps… they learn how to create, explore, and trust their own voice through movement. This is the heart behind everything we do!

✨ Coming to Glastonbury, CT this summer- Motion Lab Collective Dance Intensives! ✨

Motion Lab Collective is excited to offer week-long summer dance intensives for ages 5-19, with both half-day and full-day programs designed to help dancers grow in technique, creativity, and confidence.

Founded by dance educator Dani Lombardo (B.A. in Dance & MSW), Motion Lab Collective blends strong technical training with a creative, exploratory approach to movement. Dani’s background in both dance education and social work informs a teaching style that prioritizes healthy training, artistic expression, and a supportive learning environment where every dancer feels encouraged to explore and develop their voice.

Each intensive combines ballet, modern, conditioning, choreography creation, and improvisation, giving dancers the opportunity to strengthen their technique while also developing creativity, musicality, and confidence.

Summer 2026 Programs:

July 27–31
☀️Tiny Motion Lab- Ages 5-8 (Half Day)
☀️Emerging Motion Lab- Ages 8-11 (Extended Half Day)

June 29-July 2
☀️Motion Lab Intensive- ages 11-19 (Full Day)

Hi 👋🏻 I’m Miss Dani! As a dance artist, educator, and founder of Motion Lab Collective, I’m excited to bring a movement-based arts initiative rooted in creative exploration, embodiment, and social impact.

I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Dance and a Master’s degree in Social Work, a combination that deeply informs my approach to dance as both an expressive art form and a therapeutic practice.

My work includes designing and facilitating therapeutic art curricula in dance and fine art for incarcerated individuals. Through these programs, she used movement, creative process, and visual art as tools for emotional expression, regulation, and connection, creating spaces where participants could explore identity, agency, and healing through art. My teaching emphasized accessibility, curiosity, and honoring each individual’s lived experience, regardless of prior artistic training.

Motion Lab Collective emerged from this foundation, embracing a “lab” model where dancers investigate movement, technique, conditioning, and performance as an evolving practice rather than a fixed product. My artistic philosophy centers on process over perfection, cultivating environments that balance structure with freedom, discipline with play, and rigor with care.

With a long-term vision of expanding Motion Lab Collective into an organization, i’m committed to using dance as a vehicle for empowerment, justice, and community.🌙✨
