Hi 👋🏻 I’m Miss Dani! As a dance artist, educator, and founder of Motion Lab Collective, I’m excited to bring a movement-based arts initiative rooted in creative exploration, embodiment, and social impact.
I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Dance and a Master’s degree in Social Work, a combination that deeply informs my approach to dance as both an expressive art form and a therapeutic practice.
My work includes designing and facilitating therapeutic art curricula in dance and fine art for incarcerated individuals. Through these programs, she used movement, creative process, and visual art as tools for emotional expression, regulation, and connection, creating spaces where participants could explore identity, agency, and healing through art. My teaching emphasized accessibility, curiosity, and honoring each individual’s lived experience, regardless of prior artistic training.
Motion Lab Collective emerged from this foundation, embracing a “lab” model where dancers investigate movement, technique, conditioning, and performance as an evolving practice rather than a fixed product. My artistic philosophy centers on process over perfection, cultivating environments that balance structure with freedom, discipline with play, and rigor with care.
With a long-term vision of expanding Motion Lab Collective into an organization, i’m committed to using dance as a vehicle for empowerment, justice, and community.🌙✨
