We are excited to join Hartford Public Schools as a Hartford Performs Teaching Artist for the 2026/27 school year!

Through our assemblies 'Festivals of India' and 'Melodies across India' students will have the opportunity to explore Indian performing Arts and Festivals of the diaspora.

Layavinyasa is a proud affiliate of SAMPADA (Silicon Andhra Music, Performing Arts & Dance Academy), a structured certification program affiliated with Potti Sreeramulu Telugu University (PSTU)

Program Overview:
SAMPADA offers certificate programs in Indian Classical Dance and Music for students *9 years and older*. Students continue their training under their own Gurus while preparing for standardized examinations conducted by SAMPADA.

*Disciplines Offered*

Carnatic Music: Vocal, Veena, Violin, Flute, Mridangam

Hindustani Music: Vocal, Sitar, Violin, Tabla

Dance Forms: Bharatanatyam, Kuchipudi, Andhra Natyam

Certification Levels:

Junior Certificate: 2-year program (Levels 1 & 2)

Senior Certificate: Additional 2-year program (Levels 3 & 4)

Upon successful completion, students are eligible to receive 16 university credits after Junior Certificate and Senior Certificate from PSTU—credits that would enhance college applications and future academic opportunities.

A Kuchipudi dance production inspired by Saint Tyagaraja’s musical opera Prahlada Bhakti Vijayam, bringing together classical dance, music, and storytelling.
