In this work, I merge the dramatic tension and technical rigor of Renaissance and Baroque traditions with a surreal narrative grounded in the present. The figures emerge from a dimly lit, cave-like interior into a luminous horizon, symbolizing the human psyche navigating between turmoil and transcendence. My use of chiaroscuro enhances the emotional atmosphere, while the distorted proportions and theatrical gestures evoke a dreamlike introspection. This painting reflects on interpersonal struggle and existential dialogue, rendered through a classical lens reimagined in my expressionistic surrealist style. It is both a confrontation and an escape—a moment suspended between the past’s grandeur and the surreal absurdity of our time.
