Past Times Arcade joins fans around the world in mourning the loss of the legendary Dolly Parton. Beyond her remarkable career in music and entertainment, Dolly touched countless lives through her generosity, compassion, and lifelong commitment to education and humanitarian causes. Her unmistakable spirit was even immortalized in the world of pinball with Bally’s 1979 Dolly Parton machine.

This week, we’ll be playing the machine in her honor and celebrating the joy and lasting legacy she leaves behind. We’ll also feature it during our Past Times Crew livestream this upcoming Tuesday as we take time to remember a true icon. Thank you for the music, the memories, and the kindness, Dolly. You will be deeply missed.

Game Showcase: Star Wars Episode I

A long time ago, in a galaxy not so far away… Williams brought the Star Wars universe to pinball! Released in 1999, Star Wars Episode I was the second and final machine built on the innovative Pinball 2000 platform, featuring an interactive TV screen integrated directly into the game. This machine is a unique piece of pinball history. It was also the final pinball machine ever produced by Williams before the company’s pinball division closed.

Past Times Pinball Portraits features JJ Lehett! JJ chose Godzilla as his favorite machine, and said: "I started playing pinball two years ago, and it was the first one that hooked me."

Past Times Pinball Portraits Series is a project focused on capturing the stories of the guests of Past Times Arcade through Pinball Portraits. Each portrait highlights a guest alongside their favorite pinball machine and shares the personal reason it holds meaning for them. For some, the connection comes from a game themed around a favorite movie. For others, it is the nostalgia of a machine their grandfather once owned or a game they grew up playing. Stay tuned for the next in line for this series!
