This past weekend, Pitched on the Prairie had the distinct honor of decorating for the Inaugural Soar-A for the Boys and Girls Club of Campbell County. The theme was Albuquerque Nights Hot Air Balloon Festival and it was SO fun to work on this project. As it was the first year of this event, our budget was low. And the event was held in an airplane hangar, how cool is that?! Low budget + very large space = one heck of a challenge. 😏
We are thrilled with how it turned out and had the best time hearing about what the Boys and Girls Club means to the kids and families that attend the program.❤️
We cannot thank our people enough for all the help we had while working on this event. BIG BIG BIG thank you to Tucker Electric, Wyoming Pain Institute, .bronze .pour.gypsy for last minute donations to the silent auction. To Tucker Electric for the use of equipment so we could make our vision come to life; Nate for letting us use his shop to work and store stuff so we didn’t waste time cleaning up and moving around; to Gate One for allowing us into their facility and all the staff and pilots that let us nerd out and look at all their cool stuff; to our families and significant others for watching children and holding down the houses while we were gone most of the week of the event; to all of our people for cheering us on through everything. You all are the only reason we can do what we want to do.❤️
To the Boys and Girls Club for trusting us with their first fundraising event and letting us be as creative as we wanted to be. We look forward to working together again next year! 🎈
Please, please, please consider donating to this amazing organization whether it be funding projects they’re doing or contributing to next year’s event! The kids that go there are so lucky to have this place and these people. Any little bit will help them continue to soar to new heights with the Club.💫
