It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our father, who left us on February 25, 2024. Fred's journey through life was marked by passion, generosity, and dedication, leaving a lasting legacy in the world of the performing arts. It breaks our hearts to share this news… As some of you may have heard, we lost our dear Svetlana just before Thanksgiving. She’d been struggling with serious health problems for many months, and we’re comforted to know that she’s now at peace.

I know you are all wondering why we are still here, well so are we! We had no idea how much had to be done before even thinking about leaving and we really hate to leave so maybe we are not working hard enough. Svetlana is doing better but each day brings a new problem. It seems we have to go to one of her doctors once or twice each week to solving one problem which then leads to another one. .This gives us very little time to do all the things that need to be done to finish up here. She does continue to get better so thanks for all your prayers!
We have decided to sell the property in Gilbertown. This would include the Studio - Theatre and House with pool plus the 20 acres of land with all the other buildings on it (six in all). We would love to find a buyer who would continue the work we have been doing for the past 36 years. If any of you have any ideas or know someone who would be interested please let us know. Most importantly, we want to let you know how what your postings on face book and many other ways have lifted our spirits. Svetlana has gone through a very trying time since her operation but she is feeling better. Reading your outpouring of love has meant so much to all of us. We love you all and it does look like we will be around for a while so stay in touch

Dear All;

Svetlana, our family and I would like to thank you for all your support during this past 36 years with the Ballet & Theatre Arts Performing Companies and Ballet and Theatre Arts School. Your support and love has kept us going all this time and made us eager to reach as many people in this area as possible. We will cherish all the wonderful and heart felt messages from all of you. It is with heavy hearts that we have decided to move to be closer to our children. We have disbanded the Performing Companies and are in the process of selling the theatre, house and several other buildings, on this 20 acres, that make up the complex that allowed us to produce all the productions that have been seen here and in the surrounding area. We just received another letter praising these productions and stating that they could have competed with any productions in any major city.

Now to all our students & actors who have been involved here at BTAPC & BTAS. You will never know how much joy you brought in every class & every rehearsal. Our hearts swelled with pride with every message we received from each of you stating how much the performing arts have helped you as you made your way out into this world. I thought my biggest joy was the work I did in New York until now. Now I know it was the work that we did with all of you. You have our love forever

PS: Svetlana had a major operation lasting five and a half hours on August 13, 2015. She had a stent put in to repair and Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm. She has had a rough time the past two weeks but is getting better every day. Please keep her in your prayers!
