Lastly, our director Troy Row.

Troy began improv at 17 in small town Arizona in a short form group. He then went on to train at The Torch Theater, while taking workshops and classes from teachers all over the country.

Outside of improv, Troy loves to spend time with friends and of course his daughter.

Directing this group has been the highlight of his improv life and is still blown away how he tricked a group full of much more successful adults to let him lead them. He is dedicated to building this group and put on great shows all over the state!

you see. Sometimes, I can just barely make out a trident, or a fin. I have two dogs.

they want to know I love Pizza and chick flicks? Seriously, Mean Girls is amazing and I will die on that hill. My son thinks I'm hilarious so clearly that means I can do this, right? I got this.

Meet the players! Up first this week, !

Introducing Grace, the improv swain who rediscovered her love for spontaneous comedy two years ago. She's got the timing of a Swiss watch, the creativity of a master chef, and the energy of a lightning bolt.

She relates deeply an angry possum, screeching at the slightest inconvenience. But don’t get it twisted, she has the heart of a therapeutic butt pillow - supportive and corrects your posture.

Grace will gladly whip you up a spreadsheet or build you a table if you ask. As long as she has time to tend to her two doggie overlords with her loving stand-up comic husband.

A Mesa-grown native Arizonan, Grace knows how to handle the heat and brings that same fiery energy to the stage.

Meet the players! It’s the imperishable !

Aaron Rogers is the songbird of his generation. When he isn't busy hobnobbing with celebrities or yachting with billionaires, Aaron can be found collecting vinyl records and giving his dog Ash belly rubs. He is always down to clown and expand minds with the power of improv. Audere est faucere.

Meet the players! The next cog in the Squid machine is Danielle aka !

Danielle (35f) is originally from Washington State by way of Brazil. She has lived in AZ for 9 years after being lured here by a mid-winter vacation. She was runner up in her middle school yearbook for “future SNL cast member“.

When she isn’t busy holding onto that grudge she can usually be found watching her daughter play volleyball, reading, or hanging out with her family.

Danielle got into improv after the pandemic as a way to get out of the house, and to have a place to just play, be silly, and to leave all the grown up BS at the door.

Come see if Danielle ever gets over that grudge on May 6th for the premiere of Squid Circus!

Meet the players! This is David!

David is delighted to join Squid Circus. He has been living in Phoenix for about a year by way of Las Vegas. David started improv as a way to break out of his shell and meet new people. When he is not doing improv he is using his pale and awkward skills to get better at his profession as a cyber security architect.
