We are just a few weeks away from Wendish Fest and are hosting another Wendish noodle 1 lb. bag giveaway that will close on Sunday evening. Enter now for a chance to win! You will need to be attending the festival to pick up your prize.

For the first time ever, we will be hosting a raffle at Wendish Fest that will benefit the Texas Wendish Heritage Society. The drawing will take place during the festival on September 27, 2026. Winners do not need to be present to win.

You can grab your raffle tickets from a Texas Wendish Heritage Society board member, at the museum, online through our shop, or by contacting [email protected].

🎉 The news you've been waiting for is finally here! 🎉

For the first time in over 10 years, Wendish Fest will welcome a traditional German folk dance group back to the festival!

Please join us in welcoming Tanzenfest Volkstanzkreis from Houston, Texas. This talented group is dedicated to preserving and sharing German folk dance through authentic costumes, lively music, and traditional performances.

"Tanzenfest Volkstanzkreis is a traditional German folk dance group out of Houston, Texas, founded in 2021. Our mission is to research and preserve the extensive history of traditional dance in German-speaking regions, including Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. We are proud to do so by performing at schools, breweries, festivals, and many other events. We also provide instruction to middle and high school groups seeking to learn the art of traditional German folk dance!"

We're excited to bring this beloved tradition back to Wendish Fest and can't wait to share this special experience with everyone on Sunday, September 27!

Join us on April 25 as the Bullock Texas State History Museum celebrates its 25th anniversary! As part of the celebration, Wendish Fest will be featured in the special exhibition Texas Festivals: Creating Community Through Celebration, on view April 25–September 27, 2026.

The Texas Festivals exhibition focuses on Texas's iconic festivals, exploring what we choose to celebrate and how it reflects our history and our identity.
