Peanuts, assemble! 🥜🤝

You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown rehearsals are officially underway, and this crew is already bringing all the joy, laughter, and Peanuts charm. 💛

We kicked things off with our first read-through, and we can already tell this one is going to be GOOD, MAN! 🎭✨

And a HUGE thank you to Woodland Hills Church of Christ for so generously opening their doors and allowing us to use their space for rehearsals! We’re incredibly grateful for community partners who make it possible for our students to create, learn, and grow together.

And just like that… OUR 2026–2027 SEASON IS UNDERWAY. ✨🔥

This weekend:

🏔️ We started to CLIMB with The Sound of Music: Youth Edition.
📚 We started a REVOLT with Matilda JR.
🐶 And we got on the bus with You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown.

Three shows. Three incredible groups of young performers. One HUGE season ahead.

There is something so special about the first weekend—the nervous energy, the new friendships, the music filling the room for the first time, and that feeling that we’re standing at the very beginning of catching lightning in a bottle ⚡️🫙

This year, our theme is RISE.

Rise to the challenge. Rise for each other. Rise with confidence. Rise after failure. Rise into who you’re becoming.

And this weekend? We took the first step.

Firefly’s 2026–2027 season has officially begun. ⚡️ Let’s RISE. 🔥✨

Our 2026–2027 season officially kicks off Friday and Saturday with 106 kids in The Sound of Music: Youth Edition and Matilda Jr. 🥳🎉 Each of these scripts represents a student ready to try something new, grow in confidence, and create something unforgettable. Let’s go! 🎶🏔️📚🦎

We’re so excited to celebrate our very first Firefly alum, Emilynn Brummer, as she heads off to college this Saturday! 🎓✨

Emilynn has been part of Firefly from the very beginning, joining us for Seussical KIDS and Shrek Jr. at Anchor and later performing in The Music Man JR. and High School Musical JR. In honor of this exciting milestone, she received our very first Firefly Alumni shirt!

Emilynn, we love you and are so proud of you. We can’t wait to watch you thrive in this exciting new chapter! Once a Firefly, always a Firefly. 💛

GO, GO, GO JOSEPH 🌈

One year from today, it will be opening night for Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat!

🎭 Auditions: March 6, 2027
🎶 Rehearsals Begin: June 26, 2027
✨ Performances: July 29–31, 2027

We can’t wait to bring Joseph’s incredible journey to life next summer! Let the countdown begin!

This summer reminded us exactly why Firefly exists.

Over the past few weeks, 120 students walked through our doors across three summer camps. Some stepped on stage for the very first time. Others discovered a love for what happens behind the scenes. All of them left having grown—not just as artists, but as people.

Together, we welcomed more than 500 audience members to Madagascar: A Musical Adventure KIDS and High School Musical Jr. Every laugh, every applause, and every standing ovation celebrated the hard work these young artists poured into just one week of creating something extraordinary.

To every camper, family, intern, volunteer, donor, and audience member: thank you. You are the reason these moments are possible.

Watching Firefly continue to grow this summer has been incredibly humbling, and we couldn’t be more excited for what’s ahead. If this summer was any indication, our 2026–2027 season is going to be something truly special.

Here’s to catching lightning in a bottle—again and again. ⚡

What time is it? Time to say THANK YOU. 🏀🎤

Yesterday, more than 300 audience members joined us for High School Musical Jr., and what an incredible way to wrap up an unforgettable week.

In just five days, 55 talented campers learned, rehearsed, and performed a full musical for our community. Watching these young performers grow in confidence, friendships, and creativity over the course of the week is exactly why we do what we do.
To every camper, family member, volunteer, and audience member—thank you for believing in Firefly and helping make this production such a special one.

If this week is any indication of what’s ahead, we cannot WAIT for our 2026–2027 season, which kicks off next month!
