Germantown Community Theatre Germantown Community Theatre is a non‐profit 501(c)(3) organization set in an intimate 98‐seat theatre located at 3037 Forest Hill‐Irene Rd.

Now entering our 53rd season, GCT has been a part of the Midsouth performing arts scene since 1972. Originally located in a chapel at St. George’s church, GCT got its start thanks to The Germantown Women’s Club. We moved to our current location in 1986. GCT gratefully acknowledges these organizations for grants that are vital to our ability to create engaging and enriching education and entertainm

Our normal operating hours (subject to vary) are 10am to 10pm with classes and rehearsals taking place in the afternoon and evening hours during most weeks of the year. Box Office hours are 12:00 PM-4:00 PM Tuesday through Friday and 2 hours before performances. Showtimes are generally Fri/Sat 7:30pm & Sun 2:30pm

A STAGE FOR ALL THEATRE INITIATIVE is currently taking registrations for our fall session! We are so excited to welcome a new cohort of artists in the neurodivergent community who are ready to act, dance, and sing! Join us on Saturdays with our incredible instructors Kate Peckham and Martha Vaughan Jones.

THIS FRIDAY! Bach to Memphis: Musical Dances From Around the World

The concert will feature our two new Iris Collective Iris Artist Fellows, Samuel Rolim, violin, and Alvaro Miranda, cello pertorming alongside Marcin Arendt, violin, and Kimberly Patterson, cello. The music will be a kaleidoscope of dance music spanning both geography and generations. Coffee and donuts will be provided, but you’ll need to bring your own dancing shoes.

GCT wants to welcome Ellen Ring as our new Director of Administration and Marketing! Ellen has over a decade of experience in marketing, office management, and graphic design. She formerly served as the Box Office/ Marketing Manager for GCT from 2014 - 2017, so we are thrilled to have her back “home”. Ellen has been a part of the Memphis Theatre community for the past two decades, with multiple Ostrander awards and credits to her name, making her the perfect fit for our theatre as we move into our new chapter.

We have a few slots left for auditions this weekend. Sign up today!

Directed by Bruce Huffman

The Last Five Years, an emotionally powerful and intimate musical about two New Yorkers in their twenties who fall in and out of love over the course of five years. The show’s unconventional structure consists of Cathy, the woman, telling her story backwards while Jamie, the man, tells his story chronologically; the two characters only meet once, at their wedding in the middle of the show.

AUDITIONS: Auditions will consist of two contrasting songs in the style of the show, each being a 16-bar cut. Auditions will be held at GCT on Saturday, August 22, 11AM-2PM and Sunday, August 23, 6PM – 8PM. Accompanist will be provided.

Congratulations to our incredible cast of GCT’s first Senior MTI production! We are honored to collaborate with these artists, Director Claire Rutkauskas, Choreographer Katy Stanfield, and Music Director Susan Brindley to bring this gamblin’ show to life!
