20 years ago I was a young architecture student studying at Princeton on a Fulbright. Luckily they agreed to fly me out to Nevada and pay for me to design a massive floating latex jellyfish. It was a life-changing experience.
These days I design sculptural homes and interactive art installations at atmos, and run a community and immersive music-centred events at fox&badge - & Burning Man is ever more present in my mind. When my Mum sadly passed a year ago, I knew it was time to go back. & I’ve planned a substantial gift : Playascape.
It’s an undulating terrain that sits in contrast to the dead-flat playa, echoing the encircling mountains, encouraging participants to come & explore, discover & connect. It’s a man-made landscape offering a forum; a stage; a climbing wall & harbour for sound cars at night - or vital shade at noon.
We have big plans for it on playa; lots of sublime events - and lots of space for pure serendipity. Please come explore.
