Playa Pilots fundraiser origin story: One night at the burn, as we were slowly gathering up our stuff to leave camp, someone said “I wish we had a way to randomly pick a place to go tonight!” From that moment, the idea of the Playa Pilots was born! What is a good way to put your night in the hands of fate??
In January 2020, we developed the concept - three game dice to roll and guide your FATE. With one die for each primary element of the map – an hour (D12) a minute (D8) and a street or other location (D14).
Unfortunately we couldn’t actually get them to playa until 2022 - but they’re now a favorite tool for seasoned burners looking to randomize their adventure (or is it RANDOM??
Proceeds have been used to support Costco Soulmate Trading Outlet (CSTO) with our playa gift of soulmate matching - as well as the Black Rock Train Station - a BMOrg Honoraria Art Piece.
They’re back this year as a fundraiser for CSTO - the perfect item to gift yourself or your friends for a randomizing event.
