Sabotage! During the dust storm on Wednesday, someone cut all the power and data cabling to each of the 10 searchlight towers and stole data distribution equipment along with power supplies for the cube LED lighting. As a result, Tuesday was the only night with the complete visual experience. This was a devastating blow to the artists who worked so hard to deliver beautiful lighting while shortchanging the entire Burning Man community from an amazing visual experience. From Wednesday onwards, it was just drones—and only half a show.
