Royal Trivia: Do you recognize this symbol? 🏴󠁧󠁒󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

This stunning Scottish Coat of Arms sits beautifully above a fireplace inside the Royal Palace at Stirling Castleβ€”the historic childhood sanctuary and coronation place of Mary Queen of Scots. It stood as a symbol of royal authority, precision, and heritage.

Fast forward to 2026, and the lineage continues right here in the Highland Rockies!

Jumping back into our "Thistle and Peak" series...

Behind the elegance of the Royal Stuart Court stands a network of strategic minds. Today, we introduce Lady Isabel, Duchess of Elderslie.

Known for her flawless measured judgment, Lady Isabel has the unique gift of reading people's true intentions before they are even spoken aloud. She stands as a quiet guardian of the Queen's peace, ensuring that only loyalty enters the Royal Pavilion. πŸ΄σ §σ ’σ ³σ £σ ΄σ ΏπŸ‘‘

Did you know the day after the ex*****on of Mary Queen of Scots, the news finally reached London?

It was received with great joy, cannon salutes, fireworks, and celebrations. The only person who did not celebrate was Queen Elizabeth I, who claimed she never agreed to the ex*****on.

She wrote to James, Mary's son, to express her condolences and to emphasize once again that the ex*****on took place without her consent.

James, who was not very attached to his mother, considered that maintaining cordial relations with England was much more important, so he accepted the condolences immediately.

In Europe, the news was received quite differently. While France, the country where Mary grew up, remained neutral, Catholic Spain declared war on England.
