After seventeen happy years as a theater teacher with the Indian River School District - two years at SDSA and fifteen years at Sussex Central - I retired in June. I am so grateful to both schools, all my colleagues, and especially my amazing students, who definitely taught me more than I ever taught them. I will stay active in the theater community here in Delmarva. I will also keep running my improv group Delaware Comedy Theatre (entering our twenty-first consecutive year!), and I will also try to lose that last fifteen pounds - finally!
Best of all, I have a wonderful, talented, and able successor at Sussex Central in Meredith Covert. She will take what we have built in the drama department at SCHS and grow it even bigger and better! I am so excited to see what she and the kids do in the years to come. Please support the Take Two Drama Club and Ms. Covert’s inaugural show at Central this November - THE ONE ACT PLAY THAT GOES WRONG. It’s going to be a treat!
