My favorite part of teaching engineering lessons with Lego bricks is trying to help students see failure not as “I can’t” but rather as “I’m learning.” This tower was made by a couple 6th graders at Black Male Working Academy who were absolutely determined to beat the machine with an impressive tower. And after several failed attempts they accomplished their goal. It stood at 57 inches and survived the Tower Tumbler!

We’re kicking off the 26-27 school year with the Tower Tumbler engineering challenge at the Black Male Working Academy in Lexington. The goal will be to design and build a tower as tall as possible and still survive the earthquake machine. Stay tuned to see what they make!!

We’ve begun our third year of serving schools with an open house build event at Hayes Lewis Elementary in Leslie County Schools, KY. Thank you to Partners for Rural Impact for making it happen.
And folks, we’ve got an amazingly packed schedule for the next few months. When we started the Brick Mobile we had no idea what the reception would be. Dacian and I are so honored and grateful to all the schools, libraries, clubs, and other organizations for having us bring the joy of building and learning with Lego bricks.
