Hello friends & neighbors! Can you believe it’s been seven years since Sugarwoods started? It’s taken a lot of different forms over the years but ~ bringing people together through the creative process ~ has been at the heart of all of it 💖
We’re back in Georgetown TX with a wonderful Teaching Studio off the Square and a renewed focus on children’s education! This summer we launched our first ever 🌈Sugar Camp🌈 where young creatives wrote & recorded original songs and theatre over the course of two weeks. It was so much silly fun 😆
While work at the Studio is mostly fun & games, it has never felt more important to create safe spaces for kids to express themselves authentically, especially our girls 🌼🌈🎵 Creative problem solving, critical thinking, and complex communication are just a few of the skills we develop through the collaborative creative process. I can’t tell you how much it fills my cup to hold space for new ideas, big feelings and little voices 💓💭😊
