Every day, we become a little more like something.
A little more patient or a little more reactive.
A little more forgiving or a little more offended.
A little more focused on Christ or a little more distracted by ourselves.
Most of life's biggest decisions aren't made in a single moment. They're made through hundreds of small choices that quietly shape who we become.
At first glance, it's a beautiful landscape. But look closer, and you'll notice two paths.
One is brighter.
One is darker.
The painting isn't really about a trail in the mountains; it is about how we are constantly choosing which direction our hearts will move.
Will we choose patience when frustration feels easier?
Will we choose compassion when judgment feels justified?
Will we choose to follow Christ's example when the world offers a different path?
We don't have to make those choices perfectly. We simply have to keep choosing Him.
That is why reminders matter.
The artwork we live with has a way of shaping the thoughts we return to most often. A meaningful piece can become a daily invitation to pause, remember who we want to become, and refocus on the path that leads toward more faith, more kindness, more light, and more Christlike living.
Because becoming like Him rarely happens all at once. It happens one choice at a time.
What is one Christlike attribute you're trying to strengthen this year?
