Please note upcoming road construction on Hwy 131 for G**s Mills. You will be able to get to fairgrounds. South of the fairgrounds will be having bridges out.

Upcoming Road Work and Lane Closures
Hwy 131 from Soldiers Grove to Steuben

24MAR2025 Update

We have been in communication with the project manager regarding the upcoming road closure and below is some helpful information.

Please remember ALL dates are APPROXIMATE.

Soldiers Grove to G**s Mills
Until about April 28th (next 5 – 6 weeks) traffic through Soldiers Grove will be fine.

Mid-May the Culvert starts in Soldiers Grove and that will be closed until Mid- June. There will be one lane of access but will be best NOT to use that route.

People coming from North of Soldiers Grove the other options are:

• Hwy 27, left on Cty Rd J to Pine K**b road (make sure you follow J it does, left on B and then right on Hwy 131. (See MAP next page)
• Hwy 27, left on Cty Rd B and follow to Hwy 131

Steuben to G**s Mills

Until about April 7 (next 2 weeks) will be able to get through from Steuben but then bridge work will cause problems from Steuben to Sunny Ridge Road. You will NOT be able to access from that part of 131 once bridge repairs start. They will start with bridge by Steuben and then working way north towards G**s Mills with Culvert Pipes and bridge repairs.

Fall - South of G**s Mills paving will be done after the bridges are completed.

• Steuben to Sunny Ridge Road – try to navigate to Cty Rd W and over and then down Judy Smith Rd
• South of Steuben – Hwy 179 to Hwy 27 and drop-down Hwy 171 down into G**s Mills.
• A lot of small County Rd Options

Boscobel to G**s Mills

County S, Hwy 171, Del A Mater, etc. will still be accessible to G**s Mills. Biggest issue will be when they start paving Hwy 131 in late June then you will be navigating one lane roads.

G**s Mills

Late June to Fall (on and off) paving from Soldiers Grove through G**s Mills. If you live in G**s Mills you will be able to get from one end to the other.
