After this beauty was sent off to it’s new home (Thea’s nursery), Thea’s parents came up with the awesome idea of putting her name in the little heart to make it that much more special. It was so cool to see this painting in person again, and even cooler to add this small but meaningful personalization. I hope this is something sweet Thea will be able to keep as she grows.♥️

A couple of months back a sweet human asked me if I would be able to paint saw blades of some different landscapes. I told her I had never done something like that before, but if she is okay with that I would absolutely give it my best shot. I have 3 total to do and recently finished the first one. This is Hyde’s Mill over by Ridgeway. I have never personally been there, but have heard it’s a popular location for photography. She sent me some photographs and this is my interpretation of this historic location. ♥️ the first picture was taken at night on my porch and the second taken during the day.

Now that this beauty has been gifted to its new home, I can finally show it off! This was a commission from a co-worker to gift to another co-worker that earned her doctorate this last year. Funny enough, I happened to be talking to her about paintings and she mentioned how much she loved poppies. So when I received the request I knew exactly what to do!

PUMPED to post this painting I completed a month or so ago. Its home will be a family friend’s nursery.🧡 I can’t tell you how much fun I had exploring how to paint the ocean water and waves, the sunset, clouds, and even the wet sand vs beach. I always feel a little tinge of sadness when my paintings leave my home. Simply because I put so much of myself into each painting and spend so much time looking at and thinking about each one. But the pride and joy take up so much more space in my mind because this started with a blank white canvas and now it’s filled with different colors, textures, and decisions all made and created by my hands. I really think everyone should give painting a try- there really is magic each process. These two pictures are from two very different times of the day. The one on the left was taken in the middle of the night with flash and the one on the right was taken during golden hour. 🧡

Finished and delivered a birth flower painting for a friend and co-worker🩵 I am getting more and more comfortable with painting more realistic and dimensional florals. This was such a fun challenge! One that didn’t come easy- but with persistence and drive I was able to create something that brought so much joy both to myself and to its new home.🩵
