We loved seeing goats, sheep, rabbits and a steer purchased from Prusakiewicz Family Farms being shown at the Emmet-Charlevoix County Fair this year!

Does this cooler weather have anyone else thinking about fall?

We’re only about a month away from opening for the season here at the farm! The pumpkins are growing, preparations for our Fall Fun Days are underway, and our few apple and pear trees are loaded this year.

What’s your favorite thing about fall?

Ours is seeing all the smiling faces enjoying the hayrides, petting zoo, and everything else our farm has to offer!

This past week, we were fortunate to support young exhibitors at the Otsego County Fair, Alpena County Fair andNorthern District Fair by purchasing:

6 goats
2 pigs
2 turkeys
1 feeder calf
1 baby beef
1 pen of laying hens

Each animal represents months of feeding, caring, early mornings and dedication. Being able to support these young exhibitors and reward their hard work is one of our favorite parts of fair season and we’re proud to support the next generation of agriculture.

It’s been another full week around the farm—more hay, grinding grain for the cattle, collecting eggs, welcoming another batch of chicks, plenty of rabbits, green pastures, and even a couple of trips to other county fairs.

Just when we thought we were getting caught up, the farm added about 20 more things to the to-do list. Funny how that works! 😂
