Somebody who knows VA loans please look at this because these numbers have me staring at the screen like I just got personally attacked 😭📄 The loan is a VA 30 year, and the estimate is showing $25,705 cash to close with $18,387 in closing costs. There’s $3,727 in origination charges, $6,880 in services I apparently can’t shop for, title fees, escrow, prepaid insurance, taxes, and a VA funding fee over $5,500 just casually sitting there like it’s normal 💰 I have around $30k available, but using that much would make me feel house poor on day one. I saw another post saying I should be more aggressive at my age, but this feels like choosing between buying the house and keeping financial breathing room.
Would you move forward with this or push back hard on the lender first? 🚩
