Join local yoga instructor Erica Silver for FREE yoga classes weekly from 5:30-6:30 p.m. on Tuesdays in June! Classes will be held at Ada Waukell Charles Community Center (225 Klamath Blvd. Klamath, CA). This is an offering for Yurok Tribe Staff and the community. All levels of experience welcome! No need to pre-register, simply show up for an hour of movement. Please wear clothing that you can comfortably move in and bring a water bottle and yoga mat if you have one. See you there!

We are thrilled to announce our Summer Youth Performance Internship: A PAID youth internship opportunity! DiRT & Glitter is seeking youth dancers, choreographers, poets, musicians, singers and storytellers to join us in creating—and performing—an original production at our Redwood Roots community celebration this July. Youth selected for the internship will receive mentorship from professional performers and a stipend for their work.

Auditions for the internship will be May 27 at Del Norte High School Dance Studio (1301 El Dorado St, Crescent City, park in back parking lot). No registration required, simply show up at one of the following times according to your creative discipline:

DANCERS: 5pm
MUSICIANS/VOCALISTS: 6:30pm
POETS/STORYTELLERS: 7:30pm

If you would like to audition to contribute an original piece to our show in July, please come prepared with a 1-min piece of your work to share. You do not have to have a piece of work prepared to audition and can do so without to be part of the overall cast.

We are seeking instructors for our Making & Movement monthly community gathering series. This typically includes an hour-long movement session followed by another hour of making. This event happens once a month on Saturdays in Klamath, CA at the Ada Waukell Charles Community Center. Our next Movement & Making gathering is Saturday, May 9 from 11:30am-1:30pm. Come by and get a feel for what these events look like!

Facilitators will be reimbursed for material costs, and will also receive a $150 instructor fee. To learn more, or to share your experience, ideas, and availability, please reach out to Lauren Godla at [email protected]. Also, if you have an idea that might take longer than the usual hour to complete, be sure to share that with us too.

Join us in Klamath on Saturday, May 9 for Movement & Making: A community gathering! This month we have local yoga instructor Paulina Sanchez and crafter Co Conway leading a session of getting into your body and creating something fun in community. No pre-registration required, all levels of experience welcome!

This event will take place at the Ada Waukell Charles Community Center (225 Klamath Blvd., Klamath, CA) from 11:30am-1:30pm.

This FREE monthly gathering is brought to you by the DiRT & Glitter Youth Art & Adventure Program in collaboration with the Yurok Tribe Parks & Recreation Department.
