What's better than being in a beautiful historic building bursting with love and music? Not much.

That exactly describes the atmosphere today for the Dan Boddicker show at Farmers Mercantile Hall (FMH).

Dan put on an astounding show of all original music and received a well-deserved standing ovation. Saxophone master Mitch Smith joined him on the stage for several numbers, and for one lovely song, Dan’s beautiful wife Maureen sang the lyrics, which gave us all the soul shivers!

Today's free admission show was a celebration of our marriage--FMH owner Nick Fisher and Vinton Newspaper Editor Amy Stourac.

Thank you to our families and friends; to Dan and Maureen's family and friends; and to so many loyal Vinton Newspaper readers who touched our hearts by coming to celebrate with us. All 136 of you!

CRTinman Studios filmed the show today, so expect more videos soon. In the flurry of the day we failed to capture a quick video to post but Amy's son Jesse Northup sent us the attached videos of our first dance as a united music-loving duo.

Thank you so much for all the congratulations and well wishes! We are so grateful to Dan and Maureen, and to Mitch for singing and playing us into our marriage.

Special gratitude to Amy's sister Shelly Rollins of Shelly's Cakes in Dyersville for the delicious wedding cake--made with love, for love.

And as always, thank you to the Garrison Library for the delicious meal provided during intermission.

God's Blessings to you all,
Nick and Amy Fisher 🙏💞
