Shades Repertory Theater Shades Repertory Theater is dedicated to bringing quality, original theater to the Rockland County Community.

Now in it's 11th season, Shades have produced works by a multitude of new and professional playwrights. Shades has also promoted other artists in a variety of disciplines. Now at its new location at Garnerville Arts Center, our vision is to expand our reach to a wider audience, while continuing to bring quality arts to the stage and screen.

👀 We’re cooking up something special: a one-night-only reading of the play that led The New York Times to dub Stephen Adly Guirgis* “the poet laureate of the angry,” and to declare LAByrinth “perhaps the most exciting troupe in the city.” Mark your calendars for May 23rd, 8pm!🔥
The reading will feature original cast members Elizabeth Canavan*, Liza Colón-Zayas*, Scott Hudson*, Russell G. Jones*, Portia, Al Roffe*, Felix Solis*, and David Zayas*, plus Bobby Cannavale*, John Doman*, Laurence Fishburne, and Dierdre Friel. Elizabeth Rodriguez* (who understudied the original production!) will direct, and David Deblinger* is reading stage directions. You don't want to miss this epic evening! 🔥💘.
