Drinking Gourd Gallery has partnered with Rocky Mount Mills, UNC Health Nash, and KIKI PIPER to present the “M is for Menopause, Baby!” art exhibition. The exhibition is on view now at Rocky Mount Mills through November 15, 2023. In conjunction with the exhibition, we have an exciting opportunity to make a difference, and we need your support. We are excited to share that we are hosting a Silent Auction to benefit My Sister’s House, which is a nonprofit local to Rocky Mount that helps survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking. This is a cause that is close to our hearts, and we hope you will support the Silent Auction to help us raise funds for My Sister’s House.

We are SO excited to have Brandi Roberts join us for Humor Me: Comedy Show & Workshop this evening at Larema Coffee House from 7:00 pm-9:00 pm!

Brandi will lead us through the comical side of menopause and share with us how comedy can reduce stress and bring people together. The performance will be followed by a joke writing workshop where we will learn to find our own humor in personal struggles.

Brandi Roberts is a rising comedic talent based in Raleigh, NC and has been active on the comedy scene since 2016-2017. She is a regular at the historic Goodnight's Comedy Club. She has performed at the Oak City Comedy Festival (Raleigh, NC), The North Carolina Comedy Festival (Greensboro, NC), and the 1865 Festival (Atlanta, GA). She has opened for Yamaneika Saunders, Katie Hughes, Ali Siddiq, The Plastic Cup Boyz, amongst many others. Brandi uses humor to bring people together. She is witty, raw, and charismatic.

We can't wait to hear what she has put together for us this evening!!
