ERIC S. SWINDELL is a Actor / Writer / Director / Executive Producer / Author / Entrepreneur. He was born on Wednesday, August 17, 1994, in Laurinburg, NC located in Scotland County. He and his family relocated to Raleigh, NC in 2004. He’s the son of Archie and Theresa Swindell, and the youngest sibling of two sisters, Jalissa Swindell-Smith (Willie) and Cierra Swindell. He also has one nephew; Jalyne, and one niece; Janelle. Eric graduated from Southeast Raleigh Magnet High School: Class of 2013.
He found his talent in writing at the age of twelve when he started writing short stories. Eric began writing Stage-Plays after seeing a production from the Drama Ministry of his home church, Tupper Memorial Baptist Church. Then, with much encouragement and enthusiasm, Eric began writing Books and Film Scripts. Eric’s ambition became much larger over the years as he watched his Role Model, Tyler Perry, show how high one can build a dream.
On December 17, 2011, Eric presented his very first Christmas Production, entitled; "An Unexpected Christmas" to his church family. He self-published his first Young-Adult Fiction Novel "The Soul of a Young Man" on July 12, 2013. On March 23, 2015, Eric self-published his second book, a Mystery/Thriller/Suspense Novel "The Eye Witness." Both books are available to order on Amazon.com. Eric has two novel series that he’s been planning over the years and looks to start having them both published in the coming year of 2024.
In 2016, Eric began pursuing his dream of building and owning his own Production Company, "Swindell Entertainment Studios." Unable to obtain financial support from Sponsors or Inventors, Eric continues to work a Full-Time job and used his Tax Returns to fund his productions. He even drove with Lyft for a while. With all his hard work, Eric managed to produce and present four title stage productions; “Motherless Child” in 2017, 2019, and 2023; “An Unexpected Christmas” in 2021; and “BRUISED… But Not Broken” in 2022.
Eric is a member of Free Ministries with Pastors Maurice and Alicia Lauchner. When Eric is not working on productions or books, he enjoys other activities like working-out, cooking, designing houses and clothes, and reading books by his favorite authors Carl Weber and J.K. Rowling.
