🚜💨 SUNDAY = PULL DAY! 💨🚜

Get ready for one of the biggest traditions of the Clayton County Fair as the Truck & Tractor Pull takes over on Sunday, August 9!

🍻 The beer garden will be open at the track.
🚫 Please note: No coolers will be allowed on the grounds this year.

Join us May 30th!

A multi-species livestock Clinic will be held on Saturday May 30 at the Clayton County Fairgrounds. Sponsored by Purina. Participants may attend the full day or select the sessions that interest them. Clinician for the day is Nick Roach. Nick Roach was born and raised in DeKalb Illinois, he attended Joliet junior college while competing on their livestock judging team. After graduation he moved to Stillwater Oklahoma to pursue his education at Oklahoma State University. Graduating in 2020 with an animal science major. He now resides in Southeast Iowa with his wife Hunter Lock Roach. They own Roach Brothers show stock with around 60 head of hamp/cross ewes and have been extremely fortunate to compete at state and national levels. Nick works alongside with his in-laws on their row crop and show cattle operation.
Beef 10:00 am, Sheep 12:30 pm, Meat Goat, 1:30 pm and Swine 2:30 pm. Lunch will be provided for all attendees.

You Make a Difference award this month went to a long time Clayton County Fair board member, Gary Willie. Gary is the person who has worked hard over the past many years to get the best entertainment for the fair. You can find Gary before, during and after a music performance making sure things run smoothly! Gary is very dedicated to make the fair the best it can be for everyone. Thanks Gary! Gerald “Brooksie” was a long time member of the Clayton County Fairboard; he will be missed!

Gerald “Brooksie” Eugene Brooks 76, of Volga, Iowa passed away Tuesday, May 5, 2026 at MercyOne Hospital in Elkader, Iowa.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am with a visitation from 9:00 am until 11:00 am on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, at Arlington Church of Christ, Arlington, Iowa.

Inurnment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery in Volga, Iowa

A multi-species livestock clinic will be held on Saturday May 30 at the Clayton County Fairgrounds. Students in grades 4 through 12 are invited to spend the day gaining knowledge in feeding, caring for, and preparing a variety of animals for exhibition at the fair. Industry professionals and local volunteers will share guidance on nutrition, daily care, as well as clipping and fitting techniques. Participants may attend the full day or select the sessions that interest them. Beef 10:00 am, Sheep 12:30 pm, Meat Goat, 1:30 pm and Swine 2:30 pm. Lunch will be provided for all attendees.
