The Garland Summer Musicals provide professional musical theatre and theatrical instruction in an educational environment, utilizing actors of all ages to create a unique musical theatre experience for the North Texas community. Since 1983 GSM has created a major musical summer theatre entertainment option which encourages professional artists (through Guest Artist contracts with Actor’s Equity) t

o work with aspiring performers of all ages as part of a theatre training and semi-professional production company. To-date over 2000 actors, dancers, musicians, technicians and students have participated in the musical performance and intern programs offered by the Garland Summer Musicals.

🎭 Happy National Nonprofit Day!

Today we’re celebrating the passion and volunteerism behind the curtain and onstage — the people who give their time, talents, and support to bring our shows to the stage. Thank you board members, guild members, orchestra, cast, and crew for lending your individual talents and helping us to build 45 years of community enrichment in Garland.

Next year, GSM will have a temporary home as the Granville Arts Center undergoes an exciting glow-up! Stay tuned..

recently highlighted Garland Summer Musicals' production of Hello, Dolly!, featuring founder Patty Granville's return to the stage in her favorite role as Dolly Levi.

Patty's performance made for a fitting and heartfelt finale, closing out Garland Summer Musicals' run at the Granville Performing Arts Center before the theater begins its exciting renovation in 2027.
