PIE CONTEST IS TONIGHT!
If you have not registered online, you can just walk in and registered during pie drop off between 5:30 and 6:15pm in the Grange Building.

The Pie Contest Committee will have slices of pie available and accepting donations for the slices to help offset the cost of supplies and prizes for the contestants. Any amount of donations are acceptable! ( Cash only)

I would like to thank the Johnson County Fair Board for allowing us to hold the JoCo Pie Contest each year at no cost for the facility and promoting the event. Our organizers are all volunteers who have a passion for pie and keeping the basic pie baking skills alive and hand down to our children and friends. The ribbons are provided by the fair board but all the other items that it takes to make this a successful event are provided by three ladies that are organizing this event.
This year we will have limited made from scratch pies made from fruit from our Grand Prize Sponsor Gieringer's Family Farm. Donations for slices of pie will be accepted to help off set the cost of supplies and prizes. If you would like a slice please plan to donate to help support our event.
Thank you again to all our supporters, our judges that are knowledgeable on pie and are donating their time and skills. Thank you to our volunteers that help keep this event running smoothly! And a special THANK YOU to our contestants for coming back year after year and bringing us your talents!!
Now, let's bake!!

Have you been thinking about your pie or pies you are going to enter for the contest? Well I picked up some beautiful fruit at Gieringer's Family Farm this week!! Gieringer's is also a grand champion sponsor again this year with a family membership!
Check out their fresh fruit, it is perfect to freeze and then bake!!
Remember Friday July 31st at Grange Building. Drop off pies from 5:30 to 6:15pm! Kids, Adult and Gluten Free Divisions!!
