Next week Sunday Jennifer will be at Kaleidoscope Arts Center teaching a two hour dance workshop on Reda technique and combinations.
Mahmoud Reda was a pioneer in Egyptian Dance and culture. He was a soloist, choreographer, and director of *hundreds* of productions from the Golden Era of Belly Dance and Egyptian Cinema and has been universally acclaimed for his dance style and appeal.
Jennifer brings to the classroom her passion as well as knowledge and experience in Reda technique gained through personal and formal study in the U.S. and abroad. Jennifer had the opportunity to learn directly from Mahmoud Reda and Farida Fahmy early on in her dance career, laying the foundation for her own approach to movement and music expression. She has since studied extensively with Sahra Saeeda and Nesma, as well as many master teachers, and successfully completed all three levels of Nesma's Mahmoud Reda Dance Legacy Training program in 2019. Jennifer recently performed with Nesma in Budapest for the Al-Andalus Project, and is currently working toward her professional teaching certification in Neoandalusi and Muwashahat music and dance.
The workshop is open level and all are welcome. If you would like to attend, please email [email protected]
