This week, we had the honor of celebrating LED Artistic Director Lauren Edson, who was recognized as one of 50 incredible women honored at Idaho Business Review’s Woman of the Year celebration. 💗
It was such a special evening celebrating the remarkable women who are making an impact across the Boise community—and we couldn’t think of anyone more deserving of this recognition than Lauren.
Lauren is so much more than an incredible artist and choreographer. She is a pillar of the Boise arts community, a champion for dancers and artists, a creative force, and someone who continually dreams bigger about what’s possible here in Boise and beyond.
Through LED, Lauren has created space for artists to take risks, audiences to experience something new, and our community to come together through movement, music, storytelling, and art. Her vision has helped shape not only our company, but the broader creative landscape of our community.
And if you know Lauren, you know that her impact extends far beyond the stage. She leads with heart, curiosity, generosity, and an unwavering belief in the people around her. She has a gift for making people feel seen, supported, and inspired—and we are incredibly lucky to experience that every day.
Lauren, we are endlessly proud of you and so grateful for everything you bring to our community, the dance world, and all of us at LED. Congratulations on this well-deserved honor! ❤️
