Hey everyone! We are still in the process of raising money for insurance and some maintenance needs and with your help WE ARE HALF WAY THERE! Thank you all!! The GoFundMe is still active and will post another link to that in the comments, but also wanted to share that some folks are getting together to do a barbecue fundraiser this Saturday June 21 at the ramp. The organizers have been in touch with the Mateel regarding the overlap with the Summer Arts Fair, just FYI. We’ll justt keep plugging away with fundraising. Hey folks! We need to raise insurance money or the ramp will be closed. Simple as that. Here's a link to the Go Fund Me. Locally $$ can be donated at Vocality account 22225. SoHum Skate is covered under the Humboldt Skate Collective 303(c) non-profit and we can write you a letter for your taxes. SOHUM SKATE NEEDS YOU!
There are tasks that need doing and I just can’t get them done. The tasks run from the mundane to over all oversight of the ramp.
FUNDRAISING is really needed for insurance and funds to help finish off permit needs required y the County… and work doing at the ramp.
My life circumstances find getting these much needed things done, too much for me. The Community Park and Humboldt Skate Collective are super supportive and I (joelle) can help ,but the lift to get stuff done is too heavy. There are others but SoHum Skate needs someone other than me to keep the Ramp a viable option for the community.

Hey folks, it's about that time again for the ramp insurance to be due. It has been running about $5000/year to keep it going. We could really use any and all help to raise money. If you love the ramp and have ideas to raise $$ that You can put into action, reach out! In the meantime, please share and help keep the ramp open!

With an attitude of gratitude, we are inching closer to our goals of raising money for the insurance costs for the coming year. (the number on the GoFundMe doesn’t reflect all of the money that’s been raised to date)

Hey Hey! Many thanks to everyone who came out November 3rd to Tropicali First Fridays to raise money for the Ramp! We raised a bit shy of $1000. Many Thanks to Sarah Scudder for jumpin in on the silent auction and to DJS G.Davis and Just One for throwing down the music to keep the vibe high. Also thank you to everyone who donated to the silent auction: GettiUp Coffee and WoodRose Cafe in Garberville: Jullia Finklestein and Epitome Gallery in Eureka! Humboldt Skate Lab in Eureka! Tsunami and Richard here in Garberville! Frank Hirata! I hope I didn't miss anyone!

Hey Folks, The SoHum Skate Ramp (at the Community Park) really REALLY needs $$ to keep operating. I know nobody wants to pay for insurance, or permitting fees, but the reality is that these are costs that are required to keep these sorts of facilities available to the public. The Ramp is not funded by the Park and does separate fundraising.
