Preservation is at the heart of the work Galveston Historical Foundation celebrates as we wrap up 2024. In a year of remarkable achievements, we look back on the projects, programs, and efforts that will continue to make Galveston a beloved historic community and destination. A critical roof replacement of the 1859 Ashton Villa, the first in over 50 years, and repair of the Galveston Historic Seaport : Home of the 1877 Tall Ship Elissa mast, which will continue the Official tall ship of Texas' ability to sail, are but two examples of the crucial work that Galveston Historical Foundation manages.
Support these and all our efforts by making an end-of-year donation to our annual Heritage Preservation Challenge and help us ensure that Galveston's treasured landmarks continue to inspire for generations to come. Make your contribution today at https://www.galvestonhistory.org/news/ghf-heritage-preservation-challenge.
