A few weeks ago, I stood in The Alley and looked around at all of you.
For just a moment, I remember thinking life couldn’t get any better🙏
The yard was full.
The tables were full.
The dining room was packed
People were lined up to the street.
The music was playing.
Friends were laughing.
And I was so overwhelmed by God’s goodness that I could hardly breathe.
Some of you were there.
You hugged my neck.
You held my hand.
You listened to me thank the Lord over and over again.
I’ll never forget the first night I saw The Alley lit up after dark. My knees literally buckled. Thank you for being there for me. It’s always going to be the little things🤗
For six weeks, we took a chance together, and y’all helped build something beautiful.
Now we’ve learned something important:
Galveston summer showed up like a menopausal redhead. Lord Jesus, it’s hot.
So effective immediately, we’re returning to our original summer schedule:
🩷 Monday: 8 AM – 8 PM
🎶 Tone Salinas Singer-Songwriter Jam every Monday evening
Monday will be our only day that we are open from 8 AM to 8 PM going forward
☕ Tuesday through Sunday: 8 AM – 2 PM
The Alley isn’t closing.
The Alley isn’t failing.
The Alley isn’t going anywhere.
She’s still taking shape, but she’s here to stay.
This corner is my life. It’s my love. It’s my comfort. It’s my peace. It’s my ministry.
People have asked me for sixteen years if I own this place. I always smile, shake their hand, and tell them:
“It belongs to Jesus. He just gave me the keys.”
I still feel exactly the same way today.
Because of you.
Because you’ve shown up.
Because you’ve believed in us.
Because you’ve loved us through every crazy idea, every new project, every leap of faith, and every dream.
I’ve already reached out to all of the Artist and we are moving forward on schedules for in the fall. They actually all knew before you. I’ve made some really great friends out of the artist and musicians that I’ve been introduced to my life has become richer because of all of you.
We’ll still be serving outside in The Alley.
We’ll still be booking private parties, special events, and catering.
We’ll still gather on Monday nights with Tone Salinas and friends.
And while we’re pulling back for the summer, we’re not slowing down.
We’re finishing furniture.
We’re refining the menu.
We’re gathering information.
We’re preparing for the next season.
And y’all…
You can bet your boots that fall in The Alley is going to be incredible.
The best chapters haven’t been written yet.
We’re just turning the page.
