Day 4 and Fiesta Gras on Sunday. Many of our rigs moved out since the Mardi Gras resumed at 11 am and if you didn’t leave by 11 you wouild have to wait until 6 pm.

Just made it to Galveston and bought my wife her first Mardi Gras drink. Appropriately a Margarita since it was named here for the Star Peggy Lee. Here is the story: Santos Cruz, head bartender at the historic Balinese Room in Galveston, Texas, created the Margarita for singer Peggy (Margaret) Lee in 1948 with equal portions of blanco tequila, Cointreau, and fresh lime juice. He modeled it after the popular Sidecar for Miss Lee, who liked tequila.

GOOD NEWS!
We have been able to arrange an additional Golf Cart to transport folks from the tow vehicle parking lot (located at 1819 Postoffice St., Galveston Tx 77550) to our rally area. A golf cart will traverse in between both areas during the parking period.

Remember:

Drive to your staging area as early as 4:45 p.m Thursday. You must be in the staging area 15 minutes before your assigned parking time. If you arrive later you will have to wait until all the rigs are parked before you will be parked.
You must have a 30-amp connector to connect with the power provided by our hosts. If you have only a 50-amp connector you must have a 50-amp to 30-amp connector.

You must have levelling blocks, 2X6’s or wooden blocks to level the curbside of your rig a total from 2 to 6 inches.

You should put all your supplies, food etc. into your rig before you begin parking as you will not have time transfer supplies from your tow vehicle at your site.

Enter from 21th St. aka Moody St.

Airstream Parking in Blue
You will be lead in by volunteers on golf carts from Staging Areas.
Tow Vehicle Parking in Red
19th St. And Postoffice St.

You have less than 30 minutes to remove your tow vehicle from Entertainment District. Have all your items from your tow vehicles transferred to Airstream BEFORE arriving at staging area.

(Note: that any guest you may have with additional vehicles must purchase a daily pass for their vehicle for $20 per day, if available)
