Please consider helping these 5 beautiful Navajo children that lost their father to Covid-19.

Matt and Felicia Benally worked hard to provide for their family and the COVID-19 shutdowns put them in a difficult financial situation. They were making it by the best they could and were being extra careful since Felicia’s parents recently had moved in with them.

Felicia’s mom is an essential worker at a local hospital and they took every precaution to try to keep their family safe. Unfortunately three weeks ago their fears were realized when the grandparents and Matt became ill. It was confirmed that they were positive for COVID-19. Soon after Felicia and the children also tested positive. Matt, Felicia and grandpa all took a turn for the worse and were flown to a hospital in Albuquerque.

They were all in the ICU and Matt and Grandpa both passed away after a long struggle. Felicia is still recovering in the hospital and hopes to come home to her children soon. Grandma and the oldest child who is 17 are taking care of the family and are trying to stay strong.

The family has been unable to maintain steady incomes through the COVID-19 crisis and they are in desperate need of donations to help them with bills, food and other living expenses going forward. Matt was the primary financial support in the home and, now that he is gone, Felicia needs support so she can take care of her children who need her home now more than ever.
