🌌✨ Form 3: The Empyrean

Cosmic energy, the stuff of stardust, the beginning and end of life.

This form represents elevation beyond earth: part goddess, part constellation, part imagined universe.

Same model. Same day. Three entirely different identities. One very very tired (but ecstatic!) body-painter.

Fun Fact #4: When people tell you it's a small world, they're not kidding! Though we've been friends for near 20 years, it was only just recently - through random conversation and a stroke of chance - that Kacie and I just discovered that I have been living in her childhood home for almost my entire adult life! Turns out we’ve both been creatively occupying the same space… just at different points in time.

✨🖤 Form 2: Kintsugi — The Mended

Inspired by the Japanese art of kintsugi, this transformation explores beauty in fracture and repair—highlighting the idea that what is broken becomes more powerful when it’s honored.

Gold becomes the story, not the damage.

Fun fact #3: Kacie and I both originate from New Jersey. So when I passed a farm stand on my drive down, I snagged some of our heirloom produce as a surprise gift - tomatoes and corn! When I gave these to Kacie, she near squealed outta her chair with delight. When I gave these to Matt, his expression of confusion reminded me that some things are regional and first impressions shouldn't make you seem a little batty.

✨ Happy 4th of July! Wishing everyone a safe and joyful Independence Day filled with celebration, art, and a little sparkle where you least expect it ✨

This custom living statue was created for a private upscale party in NYC, built entirely around the client’s request and designed as a fully handmade costume and performance piece.

And of course, there’s always time for a cheeky shot!

When I learned the event lighting would be dim, I collaborated with another artist to modify the piece—ensuring the torch and crown would light up in the space. It's still one of my favorite details of all my costumes!

Equal parts elegant, interactive… and just a little playful when the moment calls for it.

🗿✨ Form 1: The Carraran

Classical white marble brought to life.

Shot on location throughout the city, in natural light, the first look we decided on was designed to feel like a living sculpture stepping out of history and into the modern world. After galivanting through several on-site locations, we headed back to the studio for a few more in-house, intimate shots.

Fun fact #2: Kacie and I have been friends for close to 20 years now and this was the first time we got to combine our talents and work together! As a Living Statue myself, and both of us avid thespians, it was fun to see the shoe on someone else's foot and to watch her creative process!

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐕𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐥: 𝐎𝐧𝐞 𝐌𝐨𝐝𝐞𝐥, 𝐓𝐡𝐫𝐞𝐞 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝𝐬 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝟏

From rough sketches months in advance → to endless conversations and planning → to supplies laid out → to the painting in progress… this is where the transformation starts coming to life.

3 body paint designs, 1 model, 1 photographer, 1 over-ambitious artist.

Fun fact #1: I drove 300 miles, over 5 hours, to grab the model, and then we hit the road together. Moisturizing masks in the car, another 120 miles, 2 hours, and out of showtunes to belt, we finally arrived at the studio, exhausted, and ready to work!
