5 things you DON’T need to ask your wedding planner before booking 👀

Some of the most common questions couples ask during consultation calls actually tell you very little about what it’ll be like to have that planner by your side.

1. “Have you worked at my venue before?”
A great planner doesn’t need to have worked at your specific venue before. We communicate with the venue, learn their policies, ask the right questions, and familiarize ourselves with the space before your wedding day.

2. “How many weddings have you done?”
A number alone doesn’t tell you whether someone is the right planner for you.
Ask about their experience, process, communication style, and what they actually handle instead.

3. “Have you worked with my other vendors before?”
Your vendor team doesn’t need to have worked together previously to work well together. Part of our job is communicating and coordinating with every vendor involved.

4. “What would you do if it rains?”
There are SO many variables here. Venue, ceremony location, rentals, guest count, weather severity, and more. Instead, ask how they approach backup plans and unexpected situations.

5. “Will you make sure everything goes perfectly?” No planner can promise that nothing unexpected will happen. A much better question is “How do you handle things when they don’t go according to plan?”

At the end of the day, you’re not just hiring someone based on where they’ve worked or how many weddings they’ve done. You’re hiring the person you’ll trust to communicate, problem-solve, and take care of your wedding when you’re too enjoying it. 🤍

The guests see a bride walking down the aisle. I hear music cues, line everyone up, fix the dress, cue the doors, calm the nerves, and make sure everything happens exactly when it’s supposed to.

It’s one of my favorite parts of the day 🥹🕊️
