I've been planning what sounds I'm going to use when I play the WX5 Wind Machine for the Merry Carpenters Christmas show. So far, I've got the violin, cello, flute, trumpet, Spanish guitar, lead guitar, bassoon, bass flute, Tommy Dorsey trombone, stand-up bass, Andean flute, clarinet, and muted trumpet.
I'll see if I can round up a few more.
Here's a pic of me playing that bad boy--the Yamaha WX5 wind machine, with 250 possible sounds. (Tell the truth, I haven't even heard them all...)
But it is really something--so y'all come on out to the Temple Theatre in Portland, TN, on Friday, December 5 at 7 p.m. for Clazzy's Merry Carpenters Christmas show.

It's Thanksgiving week, friends! I am thankful for a lot of things--but it does mean that the Merry Carpenters Christmas show is almost here.
You do not want to miss listening to Isabella Cring crooning Karen Carpenter Christmas hits. (That was a lot of "c" words... 😎) And yes, she also plays bass--and we're gonna let her do that, too!

Thursday night I went to Vol State to a piano concert featuring Nancy Slaughter--and she was fabulous!
I cannot WAIT to hear her on the Bosendorfer piano at the Temple Theatre.
You do not want to miss a fantastic pianist playing on one of the best instruments in the state--the Bosendorfer grand piano at the Temple Theatre in Portland, Tennessee.

I attended the outstanding Portland Chamber of Commerce's luncheon yesterday to talk up my Merry Carpenters Christmas concert. As always, the people in Portland were AWESOME--I made new friends and caught up with old ones.
Afterwards, I drove by the Temple Theatre, and the Merry Carpenters Christmas poster was featured in a nice big frame next to the door! Needless to say, that made me very happy.
So...

As we all turn toward Thanksgiving, well...
HERE COMES CHRISTMAS! And that means the Merry Carpenters Christmas concert is almost here. Christmas music evoking the voice or Karen Carpenter and the arrangements of Richard Carpenter, brought to you by me (Janet Clazzy) on the WX5 Wind Machine, Isabella Cring on vocals, Nancy Slaughter, Vol State Choral Director (playing the Bosendorfer piano), and drums and percussion brought by Thomas Key, who directs the Portland High School Band drumline.
We'll be at the Temple Theatre in Portland, Tennessee on Friday, December 5, at 7 p.m.
