For a year a group of international pilots and entrepreneurs have worked hard on planning a five months tour throughout the USA with 1940’s Boeing Stearman biplanes.
As a reminder, the purpose of the tour is twofold. One, showcase the Stearman, its importance and its history. Second, we want to inspire a new generation to the wonders of flight: fun, excitement and personal enrichment.
Like many other events, COVID has affected our tour. Uncertainties and travel restrictions has caused us to make significant adjustments.
While details are still being formed, the 2021 tour is planning for:
A scaled down routing that will focus on specific events
The partnership with the Wings of Inspiration foundation will continue, and the performers will join the Stearman tour and perform at select hospitals and schools

The Board and their team members are convinced that the mission and vision behind the Tour are important and future proof. We will continue to plan the national tour and have our eyes on 2022.

The Stearman Restores Association announced the 49th National Stearman Fly-in has gone virtual. Which means Stearman owners and pilots can join from whole over the world!

Proudly we present our newest member of the board of advisors: Tom Lowe, began flying at a young age. He served his country in the militairy in the 1970s as an aviator. After that he was hired as a commercial pilot and flew for various airlines until his retirement as a Boeing 747-400 Captain. Tom owns several aircraft, including his self-restored Stearman 17 and a unique Stearman model C-3R. Along with some friends, they organized the very first Stearman Fly-in. Tom is long standing Stearman enthusiat, together with his wife Nancy and his son Mike. "Somehow we never run out of fun with these Stearman biplanes."

Proudly we present one member of the board of advisors of the Boeing Stearman Homecoming Tour 2021: Patch Adams, a well known famous clown, artist, writer and working on the Gesundheit Institute(a free hospital). Travelled around the world visting 82 countries, led 300 clown trips up to 40 people and 5 times into a warzone. "Reach out is an important project bringing love and fun to the kids in hospitals, not just in The Netherlands. If kids become loving and fun, its the most important direction towards a mentally healthy world. Go Baby!!"

Family of iconic American aircraft designer, Mr. Lloyd Stearman, supports Boeing Stearman Homecoming Tour 2021.

The Board of Directors of the Boeing Stearman Homecoming Tour 2021 (BSHT 2021) is thrilled to announce the following.

“The family of late Mr. Lloyd Stearman, one of America's greatest aircraft designers, formally and officially supports the Boeing Stearman Homecoming Tour 2021".

One of the grandsons of Mr. Stearman, Patrick Carr will take a seat in the Board of Advisors of the BSHT 2021 on behalf of the family.

Mr. Carr, a pilot himself, says about himself:
"Patrick graduated engineering school at the University of Missouri in 1979. He has worked in the equipment and construction industry since graduation. His passions are flying and sailing. He holds a commercial pilot license and was active as a flight instructor as well as a current US Sailing Level 1 instructor rating. He has 2 children and 2 grandchildren. Pat was in high school when Lloyd passed. Lloyd lived on the west coast so time with him was limited to a few weeks each year. I have come to know more about Lloyd from reading and studying his history".

Our Board looks forward to a fruitful cooperation with Patrick to further enhance the public interest into one of the greatest biplanes ever built and into the life of one of America's finest, Mr. Lloyd Stearman.

Going VERTICAL! One of the wonders of flying, is that the 3th dimension is added. You decide where you wanna go; left, right, faster, slower, up or down. You make your own rollercoaster. John Mohr(photo) is know for his legendary performance with his stock Boeing PT-17 Stearman. On the Boeing Stearman Homecoming Tour 2021 we will tour the United States of America for 5 months. On airports The Storyteller and Magic Brothers World will show case an amazing story about aviation and mindblowing magic. Can you show case something unique to inspire children to follow there dream, please let us know. Stearman owners are also welcome to join, even if it is for small part of the tour.

Grandeur Inspirational Tour through the USA

In 2021 our non-profit organization will hold a five months tour with vintage biplanes.

Our vision is to connect the world of flying with the young generation and to use aviation as a tool to inspire children.
We do so by showing our 1940's Boeing Stearman biplanes in the air and on the ground. We hold storytelling/magic shows on the airfields that we visit and in local hospitals and schools.

We have a professional team, a website and we gain momentum per day.

Although our team and all that join are working on a voluntary basis, we do look forward to connect with commercial companies worldwide. We expect to gain US nationwide and global exposure from which you can benefit.
We have a sponsor/partner program to suit everyone's budget.

✅Our Board of Directors is honored and very happy to announce that;

Famous pilot and award winning book writer, Mr. Stephen Coonts, embraces our initiative, the Boeing Stearman Homecoming Tour 2021 and takes seat in our Board of Advisors.

✅Mrs. Coonts published a number of books, including the ‘Cannibal Queen', in which he takes the reader on board of a Boeing Stearman while visiting all states of the USA.

✅Novelist Stephen Coonts was born and raised in West Virginia. Commissioned in the Navy in 1968, he flew A-6 Intruders from USS Enterpriseduring the last few years of the Vietnam War. In 1980 he graduated from the University of Colorado School of Law, practiced for six years, and started writing novels. His first, Flight of the Intruder, was a huge hit and launched a new career. He spent the summer of 1991 flying a Stearman to all of the lower 48 states; his book about the adventure, The Cannibal Queen, is an aviation classic.
